Mr. and Mrs. Lawson Hart, of Colquitt, Ga., would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their granddaughter, Katie Ne’Cole Cobb, to David Grubbs Jr. of Attapulgus. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Winston Cobb of Colquitt.

Katie is the daughter of Cissy Davis of Donalsonville, Ga., and Nathan Cobb of Colquitt. She is a 2009 graduate of Southwest Georgia Academy, in Damascus, Ga., and presently attends Bainbridge College, where she is pursuing a career as an early childhood educator. She is presently employed with The Kid’s Place in Colquitt.

David is the son of Rev. and Mrs. David Grubbs Sr. of Attapulgus. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bird of Attapulgus, and Mattie Cato and the late Joe Grubbs Sr. of Colquitt.

He is  a 2004 graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended Bainbridge College, where he earned a degree as a paramedic. He is presently employed with the Decatur County EMS and Grubbs Farm in Attapulgus.

The wedding will take place August 11 at 4 p.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene in Bainbridge. The reception will follow at the Kirbo Center at Bainbridge College.

All friends and relatives of the bride and groom are invited to attend.
