Mrs. Lucy Faye Miller, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ellis Hardwick will be officiating. Burial will follow at Thursby-Whittaker Family Cemetery in Seminole County, Ga. Timothy Miller, John Miller Jr., Dennis Wells, Joe Garcia, Jose Garcia and Tony Miller will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, June 24, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

Lucy Faye Galloway was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Abbeville, Ala., to Cisroe Galloway and Lela Smith Galloway. She married Ivy Miller, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Lucy Faye was kind to everyone and especially loved her dogs.

Lucy is survived by her children: Valdra Kay Garcia and husband, Jose of Colquitt, Ga., John Dowling Miller and wife, Deborah of Green Cove Springs, Fla., Lavon Harrington Miller, Eddie Eugene Miller, Jerry Miller, and Larry Edison Miller, all of Brinson; one sister, Edna Love of Bainbridge; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
