Leon Toole, 78, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012, at his residence.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Oak City Cemetery, with Rev. Roy Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mr. Toole was born June 17, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Otis Lamar Toole and Bernice Louise Giudry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II, and was retired as an airplane electrician from Fort Rucker.

Mr. Toole was preceded in death by his first wife, Paula Powell.

Survivors include his wife, Corinne Toole of Bainbridge.
