Individual awards were won by Bert Hines for being closest to the pin on Hole No. 3, Mike Jones for being closest to the pin on Hole No. 13, Tommy Nix for being closest to the pin on Hole No. 17 and Jay Hawthorne for having the longest drive on Hole No. 18.

Following the tournament, Bainbridge head football coach Ed Pilcher thanked all the golfers for playing in the tournament and supporting his team.

“The proceeds from our golf tournament will allow us to send our players to camps, which are very beneficial to them,” Pilcher said.

Long echoed Pilcher’s remarks, pointing out that the players work hard in practices and games and are a very close-knit group.

“With 34 seniors, our leadership is outstanding,” Long said. “We also have strong contributions from our underclassmen. It is just a special group of young men.”
