Legal residents of the state of Georgia who are at least 21 years of age or older, are the parent, legal guardian or grandparent of a child born in 1996 or after, and whose child is participating in the 2012 Vacation Reading Program, may enter for a chance to win by visiting www.path2college529.com. Enter the sweepstakes by completing the entry form by July 31.

Be sure to select “Southwest Georgia Regional Library” as your library system. If your child’s name is selected as the winner of the $5,529 college scholarship, then the library will win $1,529! Don’t miss out on your child’s chance for a $5,529 scholarship and sign up for the Vacation Reading Program at the Decatur County-Gilbert H. Gragg Library.

Help your child enjoy reading this summer

Does your child love to read, but cannot see or hold a printed book? Your child can enjoy reading this summer with the help of the Southwest Georgia Library for Accessible Services. The Southwest Georgia Library for Accessible Services makes it possible for children with physical, visual, or learning disabilities to benefit from listening to thousands of children’s books this summer and beyond.

Children can enjoy beloved tales by authors, such as Dr. Seuss, or intriguing stories including Coretta Scott King award winner Elijah of Buxton by Christopher Paul Curtis, in digital format provided by the Southwest Georgia Library for Accessible Services.

The Southwest Georgia Library for Accessible Services provides thousands of books for people of all ages unable to read standard material. Even better, this service is provided free of charge, including the mailing of reading materials and playback machines.
