Travis and Sheila McLendon of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica McLendon, to Beau Boyett, the son of Darryl and Erin Boyett of Climax.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Greg and Joyce Murray of Faceville, the late Elmer Jenkins, and Irene and Carol McLendon of Bainbridge.

She is a 2004 graduate of Bainbridge High School and earned her Master’s in Education in Reading, Language and Literacy from Georgia State University. She is employed as a special education teacher at Elcan-King Elementary School in Bainbridge.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Howard and Patricia Tillery of Cairo, Ga., Sara and Lee Yager of Climax and the late Elmer Boyett.

Mr. Boyett is a 2000 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is employed as an IT Systems Technician with Grady Electric Membership Corporation.

The wedding is planned for June 9 at 6 p.m. at Climax Baptist Church. The reception will follow at The Firehouse Gallery in Bainbridge.
