J.B. Kendrick shows off an approximately seven-foot-long rattlesnake, with five rattlers, that was killed April 19 on his property off Open Pond Road in northeastern Decatur County. The snake was killed by Dave Bodiroga, who is married to J.B.’s niece Tina. Mr. Bodiroga was in Decatur County to attend the Kendrick family reunion, according to Brenda Dowdy, who helped kill the snake and shared this photo on Facebook. It was Mr. Bodiroga’s first time in the South and he got the true Southern adventure he was looking for, Dowdy said.
