Robert Barber and Rhonda K. Ross of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Renee Barber of Bainbridge, to Michael Wayne Connell Jr., the son of Michael Wayne Connell Sr. and Lorie G. Connell, all of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Virginia Brogdon and of the late Bobby Green, the late Edith Glass Josey and William Cecil Josey, and the late Hubert Barber.

Miss Barber is a 2005 graduate of Bainbridge High School and of Bainbridge College in 2009, where she obtained an associate degree in nursing.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Margery D. and Landon O. Griner, and of the late Charlene L. and James M. Connell.

Mr. Connell graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2001.

The wedding is planned for April 28, at 5:30 p.m. at the Springhill Tree Farm, where the reception will follow. Family and friends are invited to attend.
