The Memorial Hospital Foundation will be hosting a community-wide fundraising event for Memorial Hospital and Manor on April 14. This event will raise funds in order to assist the hospital with the creation of the digital mammography suite and the purchase of much needed equipment such as the Achilles bone ultrasonometer.

The Foundation is very excited about the event this year. The First Annual Derby Night will be an evening of “funny money,” exciting horse races, food, raffle items, door prizes, live and silent auction items, and even a ladies Derby hat contest. We are looking forward to an action-packed event with guest participation and just good ‘ole fun.

Featured live auction items will include a custom jewelry piece from Godwin Jewelers, a half-day quail hunt for six compliments of Southwind Plantation, a gourmet dinner for 10 compliments of Lori Shiver and Brentwood Plantation, a half-day deep sea fishing trip at Mexico Beach courtesy of Zack Childs 98 Real Estate Group and Steve Newman-Big Fish Construction, and a one week mountain house vacation, courtesy of Ken and Vicki Bailey. There will also be an iPad 2 as the featured raffle item, which is compliments of State Farm-Todd Martin.
