The funeral for Shirley Mae Davis, 58, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, March 16, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zuma M.B. Church with Rev. Harry Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with V.T. Johnson, Joe Brannon, Melvin Davis, Johnnie Davis and Odell Washington acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 21, 1953, in Selma, Ala. and died March 7, 2012, in Bainbridge, where she has been a resident since September 2011. She was a membr of St. Paul M.B. Church in Austin, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin Davis; one son, Bernard O. Davis; brothers, Norman Carter, Johnnie Carter; and a host of other relatives and friends.
