Senior midfielder Savannah Cook scored four goals to lead the Lady Cats soccer team in a 7-0 victory over visiting Albany on Tuesday.

Cook began the scoring for the Lady Cats, in the ninth minute, when she received a pass from freshman forward Jennifer Becerra and sent home a shot from 8 yards out. The lead increased to 2-0 in the 13th minute as senior midfielder Charlton Reynolds finished off another Becerra pass, scoring from 12 yards out.

Senior midfielder Shemelia Bush scored the third Bainbridge goal in the 17th minute, as a failed clearance ball landed in front of the goal and she was able to drive it in. Becerra scored in the 18th minute off an assist from Cook, and Cook scored a goal of her own in the 28th minute to give the Lady Cats a 5-0 lead.

Cook scored two more goals in the second half to complete the scoring for Bainbridge, which improved to 3-4 for the year.

“I was proud of our effort Tuesday and Savannah had a really good day,” Bainbridge coach Chip Ariail said. “Jennifer also had a good game offensive. I thought freshman goalkeeper Cameron Landeen came in and did well to preserve the shutout with two nice saves toward the end of the game.

“Overall, I would say the girls did a good job all the way around as a team.”
