Graveside services for Larry Allen Burgess, 61, of Bainbridge, were held at noon, Monday, March 5, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, Ga., with Rev. Ernest Weeks officiating.

Larry Allen Burgess was born March 1, 1951, in Cairo and died March 2, 2012, at his home. He lived most of his life in Decatur County. He worked as a mechanic for Elberta Crate Company in Bainbridge. Larry was a collector of anything about eagles. He loved his family deeply and they loved him.

Larry Allen Burgess is survived by his children, Chris Burgess and wife, Mackenzie of Brinson, and Jamie Burgess of Minnesota; mother, Vivian Brown of Belleview, Fla.; sisters, Rita Harvey and husband, James of Anthony, Fla., Karen Kramer and husband, Charles of Ocala, Fla., and Nina Amos of Easley, S.C.; grandchildren, Ryan Burgess, Jackie Burgess, and Mallory Burgess; and loving friend, Christine Moody.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
