BHS girls soccer wins by 5-0 score

Senior midfielder Charlton Reynolds and freshman forward Jennifer Becarra powered coach Chip Ariail’s Bainbridge High School Lady Cats soccer team to a 5-0 Wednesday road victory over the Albany High School Indians.

The Lady Cats went up 1-0 when Reynolds connected on a crossing shot from the right side in the 12th minute.

Senior midfielder Savannah Cook increased the advantage to 2-0, driving a corner kick to the middle of the box that deflected off an Albany defender and into the goal in the 17th minute.

Becerra closed out the first half scoring, putting a well-placed shot in the goal from eight yards out in the 20th minute. to put the Lady Cats up 3-0.

Becarra scored again in the 49th minute to increase the lead to 4-0. Reynolds scored the final goal in the 56th minute.

The shutout was shared by Lady Cats senior goaltenders Brianna Williams and Tiffany Hand.

Ariail said he thought his team did a decent job of getting the ball wide when they had possession and setting up many opportunities.
