Bainbridge’s boys basketball team defeated visiting Effingham County on Saturday, 64-60, to win a first-round Class AAAA playoff game. The Bearcats had trailed 30-26 at halftime but rallied in the fourth quarter.
The Bainbridge Lady Cats also won their first-round playoff game, going on the road and defeating Richmond Hill, 62-53, Friday night.
The Bearcats will travel to face Alcovy in a second-round game later this week, while the Lady Cats will face Forest Park on the road.
