A graveside service for Bobby Lee Granthum, 71, was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bobby Lee Granthum was born Oct. 25, 1940, in Bainbridge to Thomas Charlie Granthum and Getha Louisa Cox Granthum. He died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012. He worked at Kaiser Chemical Company and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia Granthum; brother, Tommy Granthum; and sister, Phyllis.

Survivors include his children, Gregory Granthum of Thomaston, Ga., Melinda Taylor and husband, Neal, of Pelham, Ga., and Melissa Kendrick of Barnesville, Ga.; sisters, Marti Beard of Lilburn, Ga., Barbara Finuff of Quincy, Fla., and Dottye Muhs and husband, Charlie of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Grant Kendrick, Mason Kendrick, Kelsey Rice Holt, Spencer Rice, Neal Taylor Jr. and Parker Taylor.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
