Mr. Jerry Lee Harrison Sr., 62, of Climax, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at his home.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Stanley Phillips and the Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Interment followed in Harrison Cemetery with Andy Jones, Chris Josey, Craig Phillips, Bryan Harrison, Dennis Harrison Sr., Dennis Harrison Jr., David Harrison and Kenny Wayne Harrison serving as pallbearers.
Jerry Lee Harrison was born July 17, 1949, in Climax to James Samuel Harrison Sr. and Reba Byrd Harrison. He was married to Joyce Musgrove Harrison. He was a retired farmer and loved outdoor sports. He fished, hunted, played golf, enjoyed everything outdoors, and was good at everything he tried. He was a member of the Tri-county and Mizell Hunting Clubs and the Bainbridge Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Samuel Harrison Sr. and one brother James S. (Buckshot) Harrison Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Musgrove Harrison; mother, Reba Byrd Harrison; children, Lisa and husband, Andy Jones of Whigham, Ga., Lynn and husband Craig Phillips of Climax, Sheri and husband Anthony Glisson of Bainbridge and Jerry Lee Harrison Jr. of Climax; brothers Danny A. and wife Irene Harrison and James W. Harrison, both of Climax; grandchildren, Taylor and Conner Harrison of Bainbridge, Morgan and Kasey Phillips of Climax and Lee Glisson of Bainbridge; and very good friends, Johnny Moore, Carl Bennett and Charles Kelly.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
