Ruby G. Ezell, 92, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Pine Forest Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce McCracken, Dr. Joseph R. Beauchamp, and Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with Chad Shiver, Blake Shiver, Edward Peirce, David Harrell, Zach Toole, and Jeff Toole serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all former members of her Sunday School Class and the Men of Pine Forest Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ezell was born March 2, 1919, in Bainbridge, the daughter of Pete Giannars and Emma Blanche Clinton Giannars. She was a seamstress for Williamson-Dickies, Inc. for more than 20 years and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Ezell will always be remembered for her years of dedicated service at Pine Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for the church and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a member of Young at Heart and the Golden Agers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Ezell Sr.; her son, David C. Ezell Jr.; her brother, Pete Giannars; and her sister; Mae Bellflower.

Survivors include her daughters, Dottie Ezell of Bainbridge, Mary E. Beauchamp and her husband, Joseph, of Camilla, Ga., Shirley E. Story and her husband, Bill, of Bainbridge, Carolyn E. Elliott and her husband, Don, of Bainbridge; her daughter-in-law, Grace L. Ezell of Climax, Ga.; her seven grandchildren; and her 12 great-grandchildren.
