Services for Genola Boland Shelley, 79, of Tallahassee, were held Monday, Dec. 5 at Orange Hill United Methodist Church in Chipley, Fla. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Shelley passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2011 in Tallahassee.

She had moved from Chipley to Tallahassee five years ago. She was a member of Orange Hill United Methodist Church in Chipley, where she served as treasurer. She was an avid quilter and tree farmer. Genola was passionate about her many hobbies, including church, gardening and anything to do with fabrics.,

She was preceded in death by her sister, Pansy Baker, who died in August.

Survivors include her daughter, Jahazel Bush of Tallahassee; her sister Violet Skipper of Chipley; brother Charles Boland (Cynthia) of Milledgeville, Ga.; grandchildren, Amy McKown (Steve) of Clewiston, Fla., Ben Bush (Adriana) of Tallahassee, Jake Bush (Abbi) of Whigham, Amanda Neel (Henry) of Tallahassee, John Bush of Tallahassee; and seven great-grandchildren.,

Bevis Funeral Home of Tallahassee was in charge of the arrangements.
