Ezra Anderson, 83, of Brinson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Vada, with the Rev. Conrad Salter officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Barbour County, Ala., the son of James Ammie Anderson and Vester Lolley Anderson. He was a retired forklift operator and a member of Oak Grove Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Cox Anderson of Brinson; his stepsons, Melton Pollock of Pelham, Ga., James Pollock of Brinson,  and Keith Pollock of Douglas, Ga.; his stepdaughter, Glynda VanHousen and her husband, Alan, of Bainbridge; his brothers, Carlton Anderson of Whigham, Ga., and Royce Anderson of Vada; his sister, Racine A. Enfinger of Hoboken, Ga.; his step-grandchildren, Amanda Pollock, Dale Mullis, Kim Mullis McMillan, Robbie Mullis, Ashley Pollock Williams, and Aaron Pollock; and his six step great-grandchildren.
