Circle K International at Bainbridge College is hosting a fund-raising event, to establish the Circle K Scholarship administered through the Bainbridge College Foundation. Active in service activities, Circle K is sponsored by Kiwanis International.

The Nov. 11 Rock-a-Thon and bake sale is set for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in front of Winn-Dixie, said Circle K President Debra Zuniga, the driving force behind the scholarship and the fundraiser. She has encouraged participants to raise at least $50 in donations, which will go to the new scholarship.

The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the scholarship, she said in a letter to potential participants and contributors. The Circle K Scholarship is designed for currently enrolled students who have financial need and who demonstrate academic work ethic and integrity.
