Edgar and Linda Weathersby of Leesburg, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Shea Weathersby, to Joe Register, son of Roger and Kay Register of Adel, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. O.R. Godwin of Attapulgus and the late Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Weathersby of Bainbridge.

Miss Weathersby is a 1995 graduate of Bainbridge High School and graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in computer information systems. She is employed by the American Red Cross as a donor recruitment representative.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Mauldin of Sparks, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rossie Register of Adel, Ga. He graduated in 1998 from Cook High School and then from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management. He is employed by the Georgia Farm Bureau as a senior claims representative.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 5, at 3 p.m., at The Ocala House in Leesburg, where the reception will follow. Invitations will be sent.
