Services will be announced at a later time for Martha J. Montee, 88, of Athens, Ga., who died October 10, 2011.

She was born in Edna, Kan., on Jan. 3, 1923, to Jim and Vivian Ray.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ted V. Montee, and her daughter, Judy Read.

Survivors include her brother, Dave Ray of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Melissa Montee of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Lisa Kelly of Atlanta, and Melissa Zipperer of Athens; and one great-grandchild, Christa Kelly. She is also survived by her loving caretakers, Claudia Dorsey, Sandra Jackson, Martinez Green and their families.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House of Athens, or First Presbyterian Church of Bainbridge.

R.T. Patterson Funeral Home of Lilburn, Ga., is in charge of the arrangements.
