A memorial service for Mrs. June Beverley Waters, 83, will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel.

Born June 25, 1928 in Clintwood, Va., Mrs. Waters passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at her home in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Waters was the daughter of William Simon and Risa Clyde Dodson Beverley. She was a talented beautician and cosmetologist. June moved from Jonesboro, Ga., to Bainbridge about five years ago. While in Jonesboro, she was an active member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Waters, and grandchildren, Karly Cole and Kevin Ward.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca Goodman and husband, Jimmy Sr., of Bainbridge, Beth Carden of Bainbridge, and Fred R. Brown and wife, Laura, of Pelzer, S.C.; a sister, Alberta Phipps of Falmouth, Va.; a brother, Robert Beverley of Havana, Fla.; her grandchildren, Karen Abbott, Jimmy L. Goodman Jr., Kerrie Kenney, Melissa Stien, Robert Ward, Abbi Cardin, and Nikki Brown; and 16 great-grandchildren.
