Special to The Post-Searchlight

If anyone is interested in seeing everything innovative in agriculture, make plans to attend the 2011 Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Ga. And while visiting some of the 1,200 commercial exhibits, be sure to stop by the Farm Credit building, where you can be entertained by Nashville recording artists “The Springs,” performing live throughout the Expo, Oct. 18-20.

Designed to provide visitors with information about how to obtain operating loans, loans for farms, land, timber and hunting tracts, as well as rural homes, the Farm Credit building provides visitors with an opportunity to talk with an experienced loan officer about everything Farm Credit has to offer.

It’s also a great place to grab a chair and some peanuts, and relax for a few minutes, while listening to a multi-award winning band. “The Springs” is one of the year’s nominees for the New Music Awards “Country Group of the Year,” along with the bands Steel Magnolia, Sugarland, and Lady Antebellum.

The Expo, which takes place at Spence Field, attracts upwards of 100,000 visitors from all over the country, interested in perusing 4,000 product lines from 1,200 commercial exhibitors, and capitalize on educational opportunities from university and college research specialists. The Expo runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday. Visit sunbeltexpo.com for more information.
