Services for Ms. Queen Esther Burns, 84, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Young Memorial Chapel at Bruton Mortuary, with the Rev. John Thomas officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with friends of the family acting as pallbearers.

Ms. Burns was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Bainbridge and died Sept. 13, 2011, at her residence. She finished her schooling at Hutto High School and was a member of Campbell Street Church of God in Christ. She was retired from Elberta Crate and Box Co.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie and Idella Burns.

Survivors include a brother, Eddie Burns; one son, Paul Burns; three grandsons and a host of other realtives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
