The funeral service for Hoke DeBary, 73, of Bainbridge, was held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brooks officiating. Interment was at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Hoke was born July 24, 1938, in Colquitt, the son of Brack and Willie Mae Haire DeBary. He died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Bainbridge Healthcare. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth DeBary.

Survivors include his brothers, Andrew DeBary of Quincy, Fla. and Julian DeBary of Bainbridge; his sisters, Lois Nix of Perry, Fla. and Margaret Ann Padgett of Colquitt.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
