Bainbridge Middle School principal M. Van Thomas said recently that the school year is off to a wonderful start.

“Students are arriving early and working diligently to achieve success,” he said. “Our theme is ‘Teamwork,’ and we realize that it will take all of us, parents, school and the community.”

In an effort to improve communication between the parents, school and community, Thomas extends an invitation for everyone to visit during the school’s PTO meeting, Aug. 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the BMS cafeteria.

The meeting will cover the following topics: Title I presentation, 21st Century overview, election of PTO officers and classroom visits.

If anyone is interested in holding an office for the PTO this year, they are encouraged to be present.  If anyone is interested in holding an office and cannot be present, they will need to contact Melinda Dean at (229) 248-2206.

“In the past, the Parent Teacher Organization has served the students of our school in an exemplary manner and I am certain that this year will be no different,” Thomas said. “I encourage as many parents as possible to attend this informative event.”
