Services for Cslinda B. Smiley, 52, of Donalsonville, were held Sun., July 31, 2011, at Macedonia M.B. Church with the Rev. Delbert Bradley and Bishop W. Reed officiating. Interment followed in Newberry Cemetery in Jakin, with the nephews acting as pallbearers.

Evangelist Smiley was born Nov. 13, 1958, to the late Charlie Johnson and Vinnie Mae Virgin. She died July 25, 2011, at Donalsonville Hospital. She was a preaching lady from her youth up and she loved to sing and praise God.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Elder William H. Virgin, and a brother, William Virgin Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Pastor Clarence Smiley; one son, James A. Smiley of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Porschia T. Guess of St. Petersburg, Fla. and CaKimmee A. Smiley of Donalsonville; four grandchildren; six sisters, Lillie R. Jones of Donalsonville, Judy A. Peterson of Greenwood, Fla., Racheal A. Henry, CsLean B. Virgin and Rosie L. Virgin, all of St. Petersburg, and Michelle Johnson of Miami; five brothers, Espy S. Johnson of Frankfurt, Germany, Charlie Johnson and Chubby H. Virgin of Donalsonville, Danny Johnson of Miami and Calvin Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo., as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
