Funeral services for Mr. Aaron Bernard Hamilton Jr., 39, of Bainbridge, were held Fri., July 29, at First African Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eric D. Collins officiating.

Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery with Calvin Henderson, Theodore Henderson, Tommy Henderson Jr., Jermaine Jackson, Qurion Jackson and Rudolph Jackson serving as active pallbearers, and the BHS Class of 1991 football and basketball teams serving as honorary pallbearers.

Born Oct. 20, 1971, Mr. Hamilton passed away July 24, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mr. Hamilton was the son of Peggy Darlene Williford Hamilton-Moore and Aaron Hamilton. He knew Jesse Jerome Moore as his dad. He joined First African Baptist Church at an early age and was a 1991 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Ashley Moten.

Survivors include his parents; a grandmother, Eva Bell Hamilton of Whigham, Ga.; his wife, Amanda Bryant-Hamilton of Iron City, Ga.; a brother, Octavius Vashun Moore of Bainbridge; a sister, Abra Darlene Moore of Bainbridge; sons, Darius Hamilton, Joseph Brunson and Aaron B. Hamilton III, all of Bainbridge; a daughter, Abilgayle B. Hamilton of Iron City; a stepson, Jordan Bryant of Colquitt, Ga.; a grandson, two goddaughters, his half-brothers, his mother and father-in-law and a host of other family and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
