ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 12, 2011 – “It was this big.” That’s a line every angler has used at some point to describe the size of their catch. Now, thanks to the BoatUS Angler “Catch of the Month” photo contest, honest anglers can submit a photo of their fish for all to see online at www.BoatUSAngler.com/contest and finally put to rest any speculation about the size of the “big one.” Submitting a photo could also win you a bunch of prizes from BoatUS Angler, a program from the nation’s largest boat owners group that helps anglers spend more time on the water and less time worrying about breakdowns on the water or road.

Open to all, the contest runs through October and offers both freshwater and saltwater categories. At stake are monthly prize drawings that include BoatUS Angler memberships with basic on-the-water towing and roadside assistance, a $50 Visa gift card and a fishing “prize pack” filled with fishing and BoatUS Angler gear. In addition, winning photos will appear in BoatUS Angler Magazine as well as Tacklebox, a monthly fishing e-newsletter.

All monthly winners will also be automatically entered to win the grand prize in November: an upgrade to BoatUS’ unlimited on-the-water and on-the-road towing assistance, a $50 gift certificate from BoatNameGear, and a high-quality fish replica from Mount This! Fish Company that specializes in hand-painted fiberglass replicas. The full size mounts are hand airbrushed and can be displayed indoors or out.
