A graveside service for Doris A. Barwick, 88, who died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 24, at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kent Barwick officiating.

Barry White, Tony Green, Phillip Green, Richard Cooper, Darryl Brock and Phil Williams will serve as pallbearers.

Doris Anne Bennet Barwick was born July 8, 1923, to W.R. “Pete” Bennett and Alma Heard Bennett in Decatur County, Ga. She was a beautician.

Mrs. Barwick married J.L. Barwick, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Lisa Carol Barwick and Johnny Barwick; and sister, Iristine Johnson.

Mrs. Barwick is survived by daughters, Joan White and husband, Doug, and Karen L. Green and husband, Robert, of Bainbridge; sons, Gordon Barwick and Jim Barwick, both of Bainbridge; sisters, Bernice Conrad and Joann Johnson, both of Tallahassee; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Barwick to Flint River Hospice, 402 N. West St., Bainbridge, GA 39817, or the charity of your choice.
