Mitchell Moore of Boston, Ga., and Kathy Sherrer of Climax, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeanie Moore, to Trajan Mims, son of Johnny and Lin Mims of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Boykin and Edna Wood of Ochlocknee, Ga., and of Joe and Theo Moore of Barwick, Ga.

She graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1997 and is employed in utility meter services.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Francis Mims of Enterprise, Ala., the late Hollis Mims, the late Harvey “Bull” Durham and the late Ann Williams Durham.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2008 and is currently attending Bainbridge College studying marine biology. He is employed at The Landing at Charter House Inn.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 6 at 4 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church on Spring Creek Road in Bainbridge. The reception will follow in the banquet room at The Charter House Inn. No local invitations will be sent, and family and friends are invited to attend.
