Stephen and Judy Franklin of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Kacie Marie Franklin, to Paul Matthew Johns, both of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret Hale of Donalsonville, Robert and Genie Honea of Dallas, Ga., and of the late L.C. Franklin and the late Betty Jane Ragan Joiner.

She is a 2007 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is currently a full-time student at Valdosta State University, working toward a master’s in clinical psychology, with expectations of graduating this fall.

The groom to be is the son of Paul David Johns and of Marnie Johns, both of Bainbridge. His grandparents are Margaret Johns of Bainbridge, Lisa Kirkconnell of Havana, Fla., and the late Paul D. Johns and the late Thomas Murphy.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2009 and is currently enrolled as a full-time student at Valdosta State University, majoring in music education.

The wedding is planned for July 16 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Bainbridge. The reception will follow at the church.
