Summer Leadership Camp was a week filled with exciting activities and leadership opportunities, including volleyball, softball, a swim meet, a fishing tournament, skeet and archery, talent show, low ropes course, climbing wall, zip line and much more.

On the last night of camp, students participated in an obstacle course, highlighted by the challenge of traversing a slippery pipe over a mud pit.

Students from Bainbridge FFA Chapters included Carson Harrell, McKenna Locke, Emily Wilson, Tucker Brock, Cierra Coddington, Becky Peterson, Brandon Barfield, Hannah Bius, Peyton Burrell, Peighton Howard, Morgan Phillips, Lynsey Waddell, Macy Phillips, Savannah Locke, Kay Bush, Wynn Butler, Briana Sapp, Madison Hutchins and Taylor Harrison.

The members attending camp raised more than $700 for the FFA and FCCLA Foundations as part of the Rev It Up program prior to attending camp. This was the second largest amount raised by any group for this week of camp.

The girls’ team was also selected as the Leadership Team of the Week and were recognized as the team that best displayed leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship. This award is voted on by each girls’ team at camp.

“Summer Leadership Camp is about teaching students various tools of success while they have the time of their life. The camp staff invests a great deal of time to make sure these FFA members have an experience that they will never forget,” said Hugh Lanier, Bainbridge High FFA adviser.
