The funeral service for Myrna Cochran Finney, 73, of Faceville, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Robert Johns and Donna Bevels, and Dr. James Adams officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Finney was born April 29, 1938, in Pike County, Ga., the daughter of I.D. Cochran Sr. and Sallie Clyde Adams Cochran, and she died Monday, June 13, 2011, at her residence.

She was a graduate of Pike County High School, Class of 1956, and Southwestern State University, Class of 1958. Mrs. Finney retired from the Social Security Administration with more than 20 years of service and was a member of Faceville Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Arnold Finney of Faceville; her son, Steven A. Finney of Bainbridge; her daughter, Lynne Lehtinen and her husband, Mike, of Franklin, N.C.; and her two grandchildren, Brandon A. Finney and Dana D. Finney, both of Bainbridge.
