Funeral services for Ashley Shernell Moten, 22, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, April 16, at the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Collins officiating.

Interment was in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with Gordon Screen Jr., Daniel Knight, Reginald Biggles, Sam Henry Jr., Lawrence Green Jr. and David A. Washington Jr. acting as pallbearers.

Miss Moten was born Nov. 15, 1988, in Augusta, Ga. She attended Bainbridge High School and Bainbridge College and was employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken in Bainbridge as a shift manager.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shara Ann Moten.

She is survived by her daughter, Sa’harla Carnecia Moten; grandmother, Ella Mae Moten; sister, Raven Moten; brothers, Axel Moten and RayVon Moten; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Guyton Brothers was in charge of the arrangements.
