Correctional Officers Oddis Smith, on the left, and Lucas Meredith, were recently recognized by Warden Elijah McCoy and staff at Decatur County Prison for their recent completion of basic correctional officer training. The training is a five-week course held at Georgia Corrections Academy in Forsyth. Officers Smith and Meredith were among a class of 152 participants. Officer Meredith received an award for the highest academic average among the entire class.
