Funeral services for Curt Williams, 63, of Attapulgus, Ga., were held March 29 at Greenshade AME Church in Quincy with the Rev. Gloria Long officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery with friends, brothers and nephews acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Williams was born Dec. 29, 1947, in Bainbridge and died March 21, 2011, at his residence. He served in Vietnam, earning the Infantry man’s badge and the Purple Heart. He was employed through the United Postal Service in New York City before going on disability in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Williams and Grace Williams Grayson.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Eula Williams; a son, Orestus Miller Sr. of Bainbridge; one granddaughter; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Berdine Ralph; one brother, Chad Boyton, and numerous other relatives and friends.
