Funeral services for Kenneth Anthony Green-Middleton, 53, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, March 26, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Kegler officiating.

Interment was in the Green Family Cemetery in Bainbridge with Keith Peterson, Dorien Knight, Dewayne Wilson, Darien Knight, Camerin Knight and John Webb acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Middleton was born March 18, 1958, in Bainbridge to Corene Middleton Green and the late Harold Green Jr. He died March 20, 2011.

He received his education in Bainbridge and graduated from Pierce College in Steilacoom, Wash., as class valedictorian. He served nine years in the U.S. Army and was a loyal and dedicated worker with CJW Construction of Santa Anna, Calif. At the time of his death he was living in Yuma, Ariz., where he was working. He was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cyrene.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Harriett Green.

Survivors include a daughter, Andrea Middleton of Tacoma, Wash.; his mother, Corene Green of Bainbridge; four sisters, Phyllis Green of Valdosta, Ga., Angela Miller of Woodbridge, Va., Cynthia Green of Bainbridge, and Charlene Green-Knight of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, Clifford Green Sr. of Stafford, Va.; one granddaughter, Macaria Middleton of Tacoma; a nephew, Keith Peterson Jr., who was living with him at the time, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
