Services for Charles Moore, 64, of Climax, Ga., will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at Magnolia Baptist Church in Whigham with the Rev. Johnny Burdick officiating.

Interment will follow in Piedmont Cemetery in Calvary, Ga. Active pallbearers will be Willard Weaver, Gene Moore, Gene Powell, John Hansford, James Davis and Dixon Harrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Askew, Ernest Moore, any emergency personnel of Decatur County and the deacons of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Mr. Moore was born on Nov. 28, 1946, in Climax, to the late Macon and Callie Reynolds Moore. He died March 20, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

He was married to Sarah Hayes Moore for 40 years. He was a firefighter with the Bainbridge Public Safety and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Stella Moore and Drucilla Moore; and a brother, Sonny Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah H. Moore of Climax; three sons, Macon Moore of Colquitt, Chris Moore and Greg Kelly, both of Climax; a daughter Sabrina Uscanga of Climax; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.
