Graveside funeral services for Willie C. “Bill” Smith, 81, of Bainbridge and formerly of Donalsonville, Ga., will be Friday, March 18, at Olive Grove/Rock Pond Cemetery with the Revs. Laddie Derocco and Ken Baggett officiating.

Born Oct. 23, 1929, in Baxley, Ga., Mr. Smith died on Monday, March 14, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mr. Smith was the son of the late Gilbert Brown and Arilla Leggett Smith. He was a member of Salem Seminole Baptist Church and worked as an electrician in the utility service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Brown and Arilla Leggett Smith; and his wife, Willa Pearl Adams Smith.

Survivors include four daughters, Ginny Loman and her husband, Jeff; Peggy Joan Gilliland and her husband, Ben; Katherine Julia Smith and her husband, Mack; Dinah Charlotte Hoover and her husband, Dan; and two grandchildren, Hampton M. Smith and Adam Loman.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
