Kerry and Pam Dean of Climax, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Nicole Dean, to Zachary David Simpson, both of Bainbridge, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty and Durward Foister of Camilla, Ga., Douglas Dean of Bainbridge and the late Joan Dean.

Miss Dean is a graduate of Valdosta State University and is employed with Southwest Georgia Farm Credit as a credit risk analyst.

The groom is the son of David and Kelley Chalker of Bainbridge, and David and Kristie Simpson of Mendota, Va. He is the grandson of Diane and Jim Simpson of Mendota, Va., Kenneth Hayes of Cottonwood, Ala., Winston and Mary Wilkinson of Destin, Fla., and Dianna Rimas of Enterprise, Ala.

Mr. Simpson is a graduate of Washington County Technical School and is employed by Thomas of Bainbridge as a sales representative.

The wedding will be May 28 at Climax Baptist Church. Formal invitations will be sent.
