Mr. and Mrs. James Paul of Albany, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Gene Reed announce the engagement of their daughter, Emma Vaughan Paul of Albany, to Jonathan Pierce Taunton of Albany, son of Jeanette King Calhoun of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elease Reed of Leesburg, Ga., and Becki and Howard Tyus of Camilla. She is a 2007 graduate of Westover High School and will graduate from Darton College in the fall of 2011 with a degree in respiratory therapy. She is employed by Pellicano Construction.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Gerald and Nancy King of Bainbridge. He is also the nephew of Jim and Susan Belcher of Bainbridge. He is a 2006 graduate of Westover High School and will graduate from Albany Tech with an electrical degree. He is a dog scout at Southern Heritage Plantation.

The wedding is planned for April 2, at 5 p.m. at Southern Heritage Plantation.
