William James Bush

Funeral services for William James Bush, of Savannah, Ga., were held Feb. 8 at Real Life Christian Fellowship Church in Port Wentworth, Ga., with Pastor Paul L. Taylor Jr. officiating.
Mr. Bush was born July 11, 1949, in Colquitt, Ga., and died Jan. 31, 2011, at his home. He attended Bainbridge High School and graduated with the class of 1969. He relocated to Savannah and attended Armstrong State University where he received an associate degree in nursing. He retired in 2001 as campus supervisor of Georgia Regional Hospital of Savannah following a 32-year career in nursing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Helen Johnson Bush; and two brothers, Jesse Bush and Henry Bush.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rosemary S. Bush of Savannah; two sons, Clarence Taylor of Bainbridge and Mark Bush of Fort Stewart, Ga.; four daughters, Michelle Mitchell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Porschia Mitchell of Guyton, Ga., Chant’a Parker of New Orleans, La., and Marcia Parker of Savannah; five sisters, Ann Rudolph and Mary Bush of Columbia, S.C., Ellen Morgan of Colquitt, Juanita Miller and Geraldine Peters, both of Bainbridge; two brothers, Milton Bush of South Africa and Michael Bush of Bainbridge; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Williams and Williams Funeral Home in Savannah was in charge of arrangements.
