A funeral mass for Gloria Jetta Connor, 77, of St. Petersburg, Fla., will be held Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Petersburg.

Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Connor was born March 14, 1933, in Bainbridge, Ga., and died Feb. 1, 2011, at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

She had a degree in economics from Eckerd College and an Associate degree in Arts from St. Petersburg Junior College. She worked for Jack Eckerd Corp. and was retired from Raymond James Financial Corp. While raising seven children, she worked selling Highlights Magazines, taught Sunday school and was a Girl Scout leader.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael E. Connor, and her parents, Edna Stegall Cato and John Ebb Cato.

Survivors include her husband, Jeremiah F. Connor; four daughters, Gloria E. Mouw of Dade City, Fla., AnneMarie Connor of St. Petersburg, Patricia C. McCormick and Teresa G. Connor, both of Largo, Fla.; two sons, Jeremiah F. Connor Jr. of Dade City and Timothy A. Connor of St. Petersburg; three brothers, A. Wallace Cato, Tim Cato and Dennis Cato, all of Bainbridge; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Brett Funeral Home Chapel of St. Petersburg, Fla., is in charge of the arrangements.
