L.C. Clemmons

Memorial services for Lucious “L.C.” Clemmons, 74, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held Saturday, Feb. 5, at Young Memorial Chapel at Bruton Mortuary with the Rev. Freddy McCray officiating.
Mr. Clemmons was born April 15, 1936, in Decatur County, lived in Florida for a while, but returned to Bainbridge to make his home. He died Jan. 30, 2011. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. He worked at Elberta Crate and Box Company, Kaiser Chemicals and Shaw Industries. He was also employed as a security guard.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lue T. Clemmons; and three sisters, Matis Jackson, Earnestine Hightower and Pearline Williams.
Survivors include three daughters, Felicia Thomas, Lukeshia Clemmons and Briana Clemmons; four sons, Leo Stokes, Wayne, Michael and Calvin; the mother of his children and his companion, Denise Taylor; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Birdie Footman and Minnie Gross; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
