Erica Michelle Humphrey, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ladon Swanner Jr. of Colquitt, Ga., and Robert Humphrey of Bainbridge, Ga., recently graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is the third generation of graduating registered nurses following her grandmother, Alma Humphrey of Bainbridge, and her mother, Gina (Hooks) Swanner, of Colquitt, Ga. Ms. Humphrey was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority, Sigma Tau Alpha National Nurses Honor Society, Alpha Lamda Delta Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society, and recognition on the dean’s list for outstanding scholastic achievement. Humphrey was also chosen to complete a summer internship at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta in 2010, and she was awarded the Lettie Pate Whitehead scholarship award. Her grandparents are Mary Hooks of Donalsonville, Ga., Alma Humphrey of Bainbridge, and Mr. and Mrs. Ladon Swanner Sr. of Colquitt.
