Funeral services for Myrtle Elizebeth Robinson Young, 66, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Friday, Jan. 21, at Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Merritt officiating.

Burial followed at the church cemetery with Anthony Young, Kristopher Young, Justin McGee, J.R. Myers, Dylan Brock and Justin Sharette acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Young was born July 30, 1944, in Donalsonville, and died Jan. 17, 2011, at her residence.

She was a member of Hebrew Freewill Baptist Church, Ladies Auxiliary at Hebrew, Friendship Club and Widowers of Grace. She will be remembered by writing the columns for Desser Dots N Dashes and Senior Center News for many years. Among all her activities, she was also a homemaker and sold Avon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otho Benton and Bunice Marie Clark Robinson; her husband, Robert Hayden Young Jr.; four brothers, Gene Robinson, Curtis Robinson, J.T. Robinson and Ronnie Robinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Robert Faron Young of Colquitt, Ga.; six daughters, Susan Young of Whittier, N.C., Loretta Kitchens of Donalsonville, Krista Young of Tallahassee, Fla., Dawn Young of Donalsonville, Lynn Young of Bartow, Fla., and Connie McGee of Colville, Wash.; four brothers, Douglas Robinson, Eddie Wayne Robinson, Lamar Robinson and Jimmy Robinson, all of New Jersey; two sisters, Ann Stoler of Kissimmee, Fla., and Kathy Lomineck of Eldorendo, Ga., 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
