Funeral services for Shirley L. Harper, 65, of Columbus, Ga., were held Dec. 26, 2010, at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Severson officiating.

Interment followed at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with friends of the family acting as pallbearers.

Mrs. Harper was born Oct. 17, 1945, in Warsaw, N.C., and died Dec. 22, 2010, in Columbus, Ga.

She is survived by her husband, Chester Harper; a son, Mark T. Lewis; a daughter, Christie L. Lewis; two sisters, Olive Jamerson and Queen Witherspoon; four brothers, Marsellar Lowe, Earl Lowe, Harold Lowe and Ned Lowe; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
