Phillip A. Early

Funeral services for Phillip Albert Early Sr., 71, of Smyrna, Ga., were held Sunday, Dec. 11, at Castellaw Funeral Home in Smyrna with the Rev. Steve Lyle officiating.

Interment was in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Early was born in Summerville, Ga., and died Dec. 10, 2010, at his residence.

He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Waycross, Ga., a graduate of Bainbridge High School and the University of Georgia. He started his teaching and coaching career at Bainbridge High School, and later accepted a coaching position at Ware County High School. He eventually moved to Atlanta to join the family business, PAE Inc., which he later purchased.

He spent many years coaching eighth-grade football at Campbell School. He loved spending time with family, watching football, especially the Georgia Bull Dawgs, of which he was a big fan, and fishing at his lake house.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Estelle Early, and two brothers, Gene and Ronnie Early.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Campbell Early; four children, Sallie Elizabeth Tucker, Kelly Kay Robertson, Amy Leslie Morse and Phillip Albert Early Jr.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Robertson, Carson Early, Trey Early, Savannah Tucker, Alec Morse, Jake Morse and Kyle Morse; three sons-in-law, Joey Robertson, Bill Morse and Charles Tucker ; a sister, Linda Early, and many close relatives and friends.

Castellaw Funeral Home of Smyrna, Ga., was in charge of the arrangements.
